Job Title: Billing Specialist
Location: [Hybrid - Must be located in Atlanta, GA]
Job Type: [Part-Time]
Pay Range: $16-$20/hr
Job Overview:
As a Billing Specialist you will be responsible for submitting claims, auditing ledgers, posting payments, sending statements, etc. You will work closely with both patients and dental offices to resolve any issues and facilitate a smooth billing process. This position is primarily remote. However, employee must be available to come into the office 1-4x per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track claims to insurance companies for reimbursement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working with patients, insurance carriers, and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure payment.
Review patient ledgers and ensure that billing statements are accurate, reflecting the appropriate services, adjustments applied, and insurance coverage.'
Must be familiar with running and reading AR Reports.
Must be able to read a ledger and perform ledger functions.
Communicate effectively with patients and dental offices to address any findings or issues.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed.
Assist in providing educational support to dental offices regarding insurance processes and billing best practices.
Additional projects assigned by management.
Weekly team and client meetings.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 years of experience in dental billing, insurance verification, or related field required.
Familiarity with a Dental PMS: Cloud9, Dentrix Ascend, Denticon, etc required.
Knowledge of dental insurance and claims management required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task efficiently.
